When we consulted with high-end realtor, Guy Newman, from Sotheby’s, he advised us on a few real estate staging tricks of the trade to get your home ready to show and sell.  One of these was decluttering rooms, garages, crawl spaces, etc. to convey the actual square footage to the buyer.  Another was adding curb appeal.  Some of the most cost effective methods to achieve cub appeal include: landscape makeover, repainting the interior and/or exterior, removing personal items tied to the seller (collectibles, family photos, and other memorabilia) - this way potential buyers can envision themselves living in the home. “Removing clutter and showcasing the homes spaciousness really is vital.  Nobody wants to tour a home that hasn’t been purged of items the seller intends on getting rid of.”
